PhillySharePoint All Day and Night Conference with Bill English

Over 170 people attended PhillySharePoint day during the course of the day. A great time was had by all.
The morning was kicked off by our keynote speaker, Efrem Stringfellow, General Manager, Microsoft Mid-Atlantic States. Efrem welcomed the members and discussed how our members were contributing to the success of the Microsoft vision for SharePoint and the critical role that SharePoint will play in the future of their enterprises.
He then turned it over to PhillySharePoint President, Russ Basiura, who introduced the speakers for the day including Bill English, Gary Blatt, Robert Holmes, Tom Lin, Sonya McNeal, Martin Leveille and Floyd Stanley. Following speaker introductions, Russ introduced and PhillySharePoint members applauded the sponsors for the day including Microsoft, Mindsharp, AvePoint, CorasWorks and RJB Technical Consulting for their efforts in sponsoring a great community event.
Members were then directed to the administrator, developer or business tracks and sessions for the day covering a variety of topics including, architecture, search, infopath, workflow, features, web parts, content types, governance, deployment and more...
During the day our members were fortunate enough to have access to a world renowned speaker and authority on SharePoint, Bill English, co-owner of Mindsharp. Bill did three talks including architecture, search and DeliverPoint plus he also did a chalk talk where members had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss their issues within their own enterprise deployments.

The Philadelphia Area SharePoint User Group is holding our first annual PhillySharePoint Day on September 26th, 2007. The day will include multiple tracks including business, administrator and developer tracks. We have something for everyone. So if you are a developer trying to get your managers onto SharePoint or if you are a manager trying to get your developers up to speed, either way make sure everyone on your SharePoint team knows about this all day event.
Our featured speaker for the day is Bill English from Mindsharp. Bill is an author and educator specializing in SharePoint Products and Technologies, Bill English (MCSE, MCSA, MVP, MCT) is an industry leader on this exciting product set from Microsoft. Since 2000, Bill has authored 11 books on Exchange and SharePoint products and is currently working on another book with Microsoft Press.
Bill is the co-owner of Mindsharp (www.mindsharp.com), a company that offers top-notch educational opportunities on the SharePoint platform. He will be giving three talks (MOSS Architecture, MOSS Search and DeliverPoint 2007).

The event will be held at the Microsoft Greater PA District office in Malvern, PA
